Severe Thunderstorms Forecast for Chicago on Monday
Chicago is bracing for severe thunderstorms on Monday, as the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area. The city, which has already experienced an unusually wet spring, is expected to face two rounds of storms. The first round is anticipated between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., while the second, potentially more severe round, is forecasted from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. A warm front moving into the area may intensify the afternoon storms, although its position could be affected by the morning's weather activity. The storms could bring large hail, damaging winds up to 70 mph, and additional rainfall to the already saturated city.
