IDF Soldier Killed in Hezbollah Drone Strike, Public Urged to Attend Funeral
Staff Sgt. Michael Tyukin, a 21-year-old soldier in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), was killed by a Hezbollah drone strike in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred as Israeli forces were operating near the village of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, part of an effort to secure strategic terrain north of the Litani River. Tyukin, who immigrated to Israel six years ago, was known for his quiet toughness and dedication. His comrades are calling on the public to attend his funeral, emphasizing his small family and the need for a large turnout to honor his memory. The funeral is scheduled for Monday at the military cemetery in Ashkelon. Tyukin's team, known as 'Team 20,' continues to operate in Lebanon despite the loss, maintaining high morale and unity.
