Louisiana Tech University Joins National Initiative to Strengthen Semiconductor Workforce
Louisiana Tech University has joined a national initiative to bolster the microelectronics and semiconductor workforce, funded by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Commerce. The initiative, led by the SEMI Foundation, aims to address workforce demands across the region by connecting higher education institutions, microelectronics sector employers, and economic development partners. Louisiana Tech will participate in the NNME South Regional Node, serving multiple states including Louisiana. The university plans to expand student engagement with semiconductor processing tools and technology, enhancing employment opportunities in the industry and region.
