Severe Storms and Tornado Warnings in the Plains and Midwest
Severe storms have caused significant damage across the Plains and Midwest, with forecasts indicating the potential for more severe weather, including giant hail, tornadoes, and strong wind gusts, on Tuesday afternoon and evening. The storms have already resulted in power outages and school closures in the region. In Kansas, several people sustained minor injuries, and structural damage was reported in Ottawa. In Minnesota, three tornadoes touched down, causing damage to farms and vehicles. Wisconsin also experienced a tornado near Gilman, with minor damage reported. Additionally, significant flooding is expected in the Upper Great Lakes due to heavy rainfall and elevated water levels from recent snowmelt.
