Kearny Police Reopen 1974 Cold Case of Missing Man Nicholas Maschuci
The Kearny Police Department in New Jersey has reopened the cold case of Nicholas James Maschuci, who disappeared on September 18, 1974. Maschuci, then 60 years old, was last seen leaving his home for a business meeting in Brooklyn, New York, and has not been heard from since. At the time of his disappearance, he was driving a white 1974 Mercury Grand Marquis. Described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, Maschuci had gray hair, blue eyes, and wore gold-rimmed bifocal eyeglasses. He also had an artificial right eye. Known as 'Nicky,' his case remains unsolved, and the police are seeking any information that might shed light on his disappearance. Sgt. John Fabula of the Kearny Police Department Detective Bureau emphasized the importance of any memories or information from that time, urging the public to come forward with tips, which can be provided anonymously.
