Ukrainian Forces Engage in Drone Operations in Middle East Amid Iran Conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has revealed that Ukrainian military personnel have been actively involved in shooting down Iranian-designed Shahed drones in various Middle Eastern countries during the ongoing conflict involving Iran. This operation is part of a broader effort to assist partners in countering the same drone technology used by Russia in Ukraine. Zelenskyy emphasized that these were not mere training missions but active operations aimed at building a modern air defense system. The operations took place before a tentative ceasefire was reached among Iran, the United States, and Israel. Ukrainian forces have been deployed across several nations, enhancing their air defense capabilities. In return, Ukraine is receiving weapons, oil, diesel, and financial arrangements to bolster its energy infrastructure.
