Ukrainian President Zelensky Engages in Positive Talks with U.S. Envoys on Ukraine War Resolution
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported a 'positive' conversation with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner regarding efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict with Russia. During a stopover in Chisinau, Zelensky expressed gratitude for the U.S. officials' readiness to actively pursue diplomatic solutions in the coming weeks. The discussions are part of broader efforts involving European leaders, including those from Britain, France, and Germany, who have shown support for a potential meeting between Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a ceasefire. Despite the stalled U.S.-brokered talks, Zelensky emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on achieving peace in Europe, even as global attention is drawn to other conflicts, such as the situation in Iran.
