Two Men Arrested in Murrells Inlet Drug Bust Following Traffic Stop
Two men, Daniel Whitt, 54, and John Reamsnyder, 42, were arrested in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, following a traffic stop that led to a drug bust. According to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, deputies observed an Audi Q3 weaving in traffic near the Highway 17 Bypass and Pendergrass Avenue on a Friday night, suspecting the driver was attempting to evade law enforcement. After pulling over the vehicle, the driver admitted to having marijuana in the car. A subsequent search by deputies reportedly uncovered over 200 grams of marijuana, over 100 grams of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, a small quantity of suspected crack cocaine, and syringes. Both individuals are currently held at the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
