Bricks and Minifigs Franchise Faces Legal Turmoil Over $200,000 LEGO Collection Dispute
A significant legal dispute has erupted involving a $200,000 LEGO collection at a Keizer, Oregon franchise of Bricks and Minifigs. The controversy began with a consignment agreement between Bryan Mansell, owner of the valuable Star Wars LEGO collection, and Chrystal Law, the former franchise owner. The arrangement was for the store to sell the collection and split the proceeds, with unsold items remaining Mansell's property. However, after the franchise changed hands in November 2024, allegations arose that the new owners and the corporate office improperly retained control of the collection. YouTuber Ben 'Reckless Ben' Schneider brought national attention to the issue through videos alleging misconduct by the franchise and corporate office. The situation has led to multiple lawsuits, with Bricks and Minifigs filing against Schneider and Mansell for defamation and harassment, while Law has sued the corporate office for wrongful termination of her franchise agreement.
