BASE Jumpers Leap from Seattle's Space Needle, Prompting Police Investigation
Two individuals executed a BASE jump from the observation deck of Seattle's Space Needle, an incident that was captured on social media and reported to the Seattle Police Department. The jumpers, who purchased tickets and entered the landmark legally, were seen on security footage preparing for the jump by donning helmets in the restroom. They then climbed over the glass barriers and performed backflips before deploying parachutes to glide to the ground. The Space Needle management is cooperating with police in an ongoing investigation, but the jumpers have not yet been identified.
