CCMC Initiates Awareness Campaign for Census 2027 Self-Enumeration
The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has launched a special awareness campaign to promote the self-enumeration process for the upcoming Census 2027. This initiative, which began at the CCMC's main office, aims to encourage residents to actively participate in the nationwide census exercise. During the campaign, councillors, officials, and municipal staff demonstrated the self-enumeration process by registering their personal details. The self-enumeration phase is scheduled to run from July 17 to July 31, allowing residents to submit their household information through an online portal. The questionnaire includes 33 questions covering various aspects such as household details, drinking water supply, electricity, sanitation facilities, and digital connectivity. Upon completion, households will receive a Self-Enumeration ID (SEID). The second phase, from August 1 to August 31, will involve enumerators visiting households to verify submitted information and address any unanswered questions.
