Polish Americans Invited to Support Kraków Children's Center Through Wall of Remembrance Initiative
Polish Americans are being invited to participate in a 'Wall of Remembrance' initiative in Kraków, Poland, to honor their ancestors and support the Maltese Center for Assistance to Disabled Children and Their Families. For a $1,000 donation, names will be engraved on a wall at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Kraków. This project aims to raise $1 million for the center, which provides therapy, rehabilitation, education, and specialist support to children with disabilities. The initiative also commemorates the 100th anniversary of the 1926 Polish Declarations of Admiration and Friendship for the United States, a collection of signatures presented to President Calvin Coolidge. The campaign has already raised $28,552 during a soft launch, with approximately 980 names still available for inscription.
