Three Fires Erupt Along Union Pacific Tracks in Davis County, Utah
Three separate fires broke out along a Union Pacific Railroad line between Clinton and Sunset City in Davis County, Utah. The fires prompted the evacuation of a half-mile stretch of homes on the Clinton side, and one shed was destroyed. The fires were reported around 9:30 a.m., with burn scars stretching along the backyards of homes facing the tracks. Fire crews from multiple agencies, including Clinton, Layton, and Hill Air Force Base, responded to contain the fires and prevent them from reaching homes. The cause of the fires is under investigation, with Union Pacific cooperating in the inquiry.
