Rep. Marcy Kaptur Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Incident in Ohio
Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a Democratic representative from Ohio, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run car crash on Sunday morning. The incident occurred while Kaptur was a passenger in a vehicle en route to a church service. According to a spokesperson from the Toledo Police Department, two individuals were transported to the hospital after the crash, and an investigation is ongoing. Kaptur, who has served in Congress since 1982, represents Ohio's 9th District, a competitive area that President Trump won in the 2020 and 2024 elections. The crash has prompted an outpouring of support from fellow lawmakers, including Rep. Andy Biggs and Rep. Pramila Jayapal, who expressed their well wishes for Kaptur's recovery.
