Stolen Ambulance from Fort Worth Involved in DPS Chase and Shooting in Austin
A stolen ambulance from Fort Worth was involved in a high-speed chase and shooting incident in Austin, Texas. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers attempted to stop the ambulance, which was reported stolen from Fort Worth Fire/EMS. The driver evaded law enforcement, leading to a pursuit on I-35 in Austin. During the chase, the driver intentionally rammed multiple vehicles. A DPS trooper eventually fired at the driver, who died at the scene. The upper deck of I-35 remains closed as the investigation continues, and the Texas Rangers are involved in the investigation.
