Pentagon Response Series Documentary to Feature Never-Before-Seen 9/11 Footage
A new six-part documentary series, 'The Pentagon Response Series,' will present rare footage from inside the Pentagon's emergency response following the September 11, 2001, attacks. This footage was captured by video producer Jude Coke and her two-person crew, who were embedded with the Arlington County Fire Department for three days starting September 11, 2001. They were the only civilian camera crew granted access to the site, both outside and inside the building, during the immediate aftermath. The series, produced in partnership with The 9/11 Legacy Foundation, marks the first public presentation of this extensive archive. Much of the recorded material has previously only been seen within the emergency responder training community. Jude Coke preserved this footage for nearly 25 years, recognizing its historical significance and ensuring its survival as the only known complete archive of its kind. The preservation effort began in 2024 to make this visual record accessible for future generations.
