Rwanda and U.S. Lawmakers Discuss Strengthening Ties in Health, Energy, and Investment
President Paul Kagame of Rwanda hosted a bipartisan delegation of U.S. lawmakers to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in key sectors such as health, energy, and investment. The meeting, held at the Office of the President, was led by Congressman Brett Guthrie, chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce. The delegation included members like Troy Carter, Morgan Griffith, Russ Fulcher, Jay Obernolte, Cliff Bentz, Craig Goldman, and Julie Fedorchak. The discussions aimed to explore opportunities for deepening economic collaboration between Kigali and Washington, building on existing partnerships in public health, trade, and technology.
