Suspect Arrested Following Fire at Detroit Supermarket
A suspect has been taken into custody following a fire at E&L Supermercado, a supermarket in Southwest Detroit. The fire, which started in shopping carts outside the store, was reported early Monday morning. Detroit Battalion Chief Samuel Vazquez stated that the fire was quickly contained, and all employees were safely evacuated. The fire caused significant damage to the store, which is a staple in the local community. The Detroit Fire Investigation Division, in collaboration with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, is handling the investigation. Security footage helped identify and arrest the suspect believed to be responsible.
