Mexican Special Forces Capture Top Cartel Commander with U.S. Involvement
Mexican special forces have successfully captured Audias Flores, also known as 'El Jardinero', a top commander of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), in the state of Nayarit. The operation, which took place near Puerto Vallarta, was executed with the assistance of U.S. intelligence, including aerial surveillance. Flores was considered a potential successor to the cartel's former leader, Nemesio Oseguera, alias 'El Mencho', who was killed earlier this year. The arrest was part of a larger effort involving over 500 troops, helicopters, and planes, and was conducted without any shots being fired. Flores is wanted for extradition by U.S. authorities, who had offered a $5 million reward for his capture.
