The post was interpreted as a threat to a local school, leading to Bushart's arrest and a $2 million bail. The charges were later dropped, and Bushart sued Perry County, its sheriff, and an investigator for constitutional violations, including free speech infringement. The settlement does not admit wrongdoing by the county or officials involved.
