Dr. Bill Hoy to Lead Free Grief and Professional Workshops in Owensboro
Dr. Bill Hoy, a nationally recognized grief educator and author, will be leading a series of free community and professional education sessions in Owensboro, Kentucky, from September 29 to October 1. These sessions, hosted by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, are designed to provide guidance and support for individuals experiencing loss, as well as professional development for nurses, social workers, and clergy. The first day, September 29, is open to the public and will focus on practical advice for navigating grief. The subsequent two days, September 30 and October 1, will offer professional workshops in partnership with Hospice of Western Kentucky, addressing topics such as dealing with polarized families in grief and the role of memorials in the grieving process. Dr. Hoy, with 40 years of experience working with dying and bereaved individuals, has authored over 250 articles and seven books on the subject.
