Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Launches Gates Scholarship 2027 for Minority High School Seniors
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has announced the Gates Scholarship 2027, a fully funded, last-dollar scholarship aimed at outstanding minority high school seniors from low-income households in the United States. This scholarship covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, fees, books, housing, food, and personal costs, for up to five years of bachelor's degree study at any accredited US university. The scholarship is designed for minority students who identify as African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian and Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American, who are Pell-eligible, and who are US citizens, nationals, or permanent residents. Applications for the 2027 cohort are currently open and will close on September 15, 2026.
