Pitkin County Officials Aid in Aspen Acres Fire Response Efforts
Pitkin County emergency officials, including Emergency Manager Chris Breitbach, Deputy Emergency Manager Krystal Stubbs, and Communications Coordinator Abbie Cheney, have been deployed to assist with the Aspen Acres Fire in Pueblo County, Colorado. The fire, which has burned over 101,545 acres, is the largest active wildfire in the state. The Pitkin County team worked alongside local, state, and federal officials to coordinate response efforts and provide timely information to affected residents. Their tasks included managing evacuation zones, coordinating reentry processes, and addressing debris management as residents began returning to their homes.
