Local Studio Offers Local-First Workstation for Self-Hosted LLM Backends
Local Studio, a local-first workstation, has been introduced to manage and run self-hosted large language model (LLM) backends. The platform allows users to launch models, monitor GPU/runtime states, and run agent sessions against local or remote controllers. It is designed to unify operations around key functionalities such as Status, Workbench, Configure, and Usage. Local Studio supports various backends including vLLM, SGLang, llama.cpp, and MLX, providing a comprehensive environment for developers to manage their AI models. The platform is available for macOS and includes a mobile companion app, KittyLitter, for extended functionality on mobile devices.
