DNA Evidence Identifies 1978 Arizona John Doe as Missing Simcoe County Man
After nearly 50 years, DNA evidence has identified a John Doe case from Arizona in 1978 as David McInroy, a man who disappeared in 1977 while traveling through the southwestern United States. Ian McInroy, David's brother and a retired journalist from Simcoe County, was contacted by police in May regarding his missing brother. Authorities requested a voluntary DNA sample from Ian to assist with an investigation in Santa Cruz, Arizona.
