Fisk University and Brennan Center Partner to Advance Democracy and Justice in the American South
Fisk University, through its John Lewis Center for Social Justice, has launched a new partnership with the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law. This collaboration, named the Partnership for Southern Impact, aims to provide Fisk students with hands-on opportunities to engage in research, policy, and advocacy related to civic challenges across the Southern United States. The initiative combines Fisk's deep regional connections and expertise with the Brennan Center's national recognition in democracy and justice work. Based at Fisk's Nashville campus, the partnership serves as a central hub for research, collaboration, and the development of nonpartisan solutions designed to enhance the representativeness and responsiveness of state and local governments.
