CTIA Launches Online Resource to Highlight Wireless Wearables' Impact on U.S. Healthcare
CTIA, the wireless industry association, has introduced 'Wireless & Wearables,' a new online resource designed to inform Americans about how wireless-powered wearable devices are enhancing health management. The platform showcases real-life examples of individuals utilizing these technologies across eight key areas: health and fitness, maternal health, aging in place, rural healthcare, remote patient monitoring, heart disease management, diabetes, and assistive technology for people with disabilities. The initiative aims to demonstrate the transformative role of wireless networks in converting wearables into continuous medical devices, capable of detecting health issues proactively and facilitating real-time treatment and care. According to CTIA President and CEO Ajit Pai, this technology empowers individuals to better understand their health, stay connected to care, and ultimately lead longer, healthier lives.
