Marine Corps Revamps Reconnaissance Training with Focus on Sensors and Robotics
The Marine Corps is overhauling its reconnaissance training programs to incorporate modern surveillance tools, including sensors and robotics. Two new courses, the Ground Reconnaissance Course and the Amphibious Reconnaissance Course, have replaced the Basic Reconnaissance Course. These courses aim to modernize training, reduce wait times for advanced schools, and strengthen baseline infantry skills. The changes reflect the evolving nature of modern warfare, where drones and advanced sensors play a significant role. The Corps is also addressing challenges in selecting appropriate technologies for training.
