MTN South Sudan Launches Campaign to Enhance Maternal and Child Health
MTN South Sudan has initiated the 2026 edition of its 21 Days of Y’ello Care campaign, focusing on improving maternal and child health. This annual campaign, now in its 19th year, mobilizes MTN employees to support various community initiatives. The theme for this year is 'Expand Equitable Health for Every Community,' addressing healthcare challenges in Africa, where there is a significant gap in access to healthcare services, especially in rural areas. In South Sudan, the campaign includes solarizing the Antenatal Care Unit at Juba Teaching Hospital, providing sustainable power for incubators, and repairing the hospital's CT scan machine. Additionally, MTN plans to distribute essential medical equipment and use digital tools to enhance healthcare delivery, such as SMS-based health education and a USSD MoMo donation platform for maternal health initiatives.
