Michigan Gas Utilities Offers Grants for First Responder Safety Equipment
Michigan Gas Utilities is offering $10,000 in grants through its Rewarding Responders Grant program to support police, fire, and emergency medical agencies in southern and western Michigan. The grants, available until June 15, aim to help local departments purchase lifesaving equipment or fund training initiatives. Eligible departments can receive up to $2,000 each, provided they operate within the utility's service area and did not receive a grant in 2025. The program has awarded over $95,000 since 2014, supporting various safety projects and equipment needs for emergency response agencies.
