Fatal Fiery Crash in Fairfax County Leads to DWI Charge
One person died and another was charged with driving while intoxicated following a fiery two-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 495 in Fairfax County, Virginia, early Sunday. Virginia State Police reported that the incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. south of Braddock Road. Upon arrival, troopers found a Toyota Camry engulfed in flames, with its driver pronounced dead at the scene. A BMW involved in the collision sustained significant front-end damage. The driver of the BMW was transported to a hospital with serious injuries and subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated. The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
