Taipei Book Exhibition Highlights International Publishing Trends
The Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) concluded its six-day event, showcasing works from 37 publishing houses, with Thailand as the guest of honor. The exhibition featured the 'Reading is AmaZINE' display, highlighting zine publications from Taiwan, Thailand, and South Korea. TIBE, co-organized by the Taipei Book Fair Foundation, aims to promote domestic reading, international cultural exchanges, and publishing expertise. The event has evolved to attract a diverse audience, particularly those aged 20-50, and serves as a crucial platform for publishers and book lovers. The exhibition also highlighted Taiwan's publishing statistics, with a significant portion of new titles being translations, primarily from Japan, the U.S., and the U.K.
