Lexington Seeks Public Input on Downtown Master Plan Draft for Future Development
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, in collaboration with Imagine Lexington, has released a draft of the Downtown Area Master Plan. This plan, developed over a year with input from over 2,200 residents, aims to guide investments and policy updates in downtown Lexington over the next decade. The plan is structured into four main categories: a growing downtown, a greener downtown, a multimodal downtown, and a welcoming downtown. It includes strategies for housing, local business support, mobility improvements, and services for the unhoused population. The plan also defines three specific areas within downtown to focus development efforts.
