Ford, GM Defense, and BC Customs Compete for US Army's New Infantry Vehicle
The US Army has initiated a competition among Ford, GM Defense, and BC Customs to develop prototypes for its new Infantry Squad Vehicle-Heavy (ISV-H). Each company has been awarded contracts to produce three prototypes, which will undergo testing by the Army Test and Evaluation Command. The new vehicles are expected to meet specific requirements, including the ability to carry heavy payloads, support advanced power needs, and operate in extreme temperatures. The Army's initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance its tactical capabilities and address power generation shortfalls in mobile brigade combat teams.
