Ukraine Targets Russian Energy Facilities in Strategic Overnight Strikes
Ukraine has conducted strategic strikes on three major Russian energy facilities overnight, targeting the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal, the Yaroslavl oil refinery, and the Astrakhan gas processing plant. The attacks resulted in significant damage, with large plumes of smoke reported at the sites. The Tamanneftegaz terminal, a key oil transshipment point, was hit, disrupting crude oil and gas exports. The Yaroslavl refinery, crucial for producing gasoline and diesel, also suffered damage. The Astrakhan plant, belonging to Gazprom, experienced ongoing fires. These strikes are part of Ukraine's broader campaign to disrupt Russia's energy revenues, a vital source of funding for its war effort.
