Uzbekistan Joins Islamic Organization for Food Security to Enhance Agricultural Cooperation
Uzbekistan has officially joined the Statute of the Islamic Organization for Food Security, a move aimed at bolstering its role in international efforts to improve food security and promote sustainable agriculture across the Islamic world. The accession document was signed in Baku by Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture. This development marks a significant step in expanding Uzbekistan's multilateral agricultural partnerships. The Islamic Organization for Food Security aims to unite member countries in addressing global food challenges by sharing agricultural expertise, promoting investment, and advancing modern farming technologies. Uzbekistan's participation is expected to support joint initiatives tackling climate change, desertification, soil degradation, and food shortages, which are increasingly urgent issues in many regions.
