Sibley County Judge Grants Furlough for Treatment to Man Facing Felony Charges
A Bloomington man, Joshua Anthony Saldana, 43, who was arrested twice in Arlington within an eight-day period in May, has been granted a furlough from Sibley County Jail by Judge Amber Donley. The furlough, issued on August 13, is conditional upon Saldana entering an inpatient treatment program and participating in aftercare. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office will transport Saldana to a treatment facility once a bed becomes available. Failure to comply with the treatment program will result in his return to jail. This decision follows Saldana's repeated violations of his release terms, including failing to report for urine analysis on multiple occasions in June and on August 5. He is currently facing four felony charges in Sibley County District Court, including fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of tear gas, unlawful possession of an electric stun gun, and possession of code-grabbing devices, all stemming from alleged incidents in May.
