Cedar Crest College Initiates Renovations for Harmon Center to Enhance Technology Leadership
Cedar Crest College is set to commence renovations for the Elaine & John Harmon Center for Leadership in Technology with a ceremony on June 16 in Allentown. The event will feature remarks from Dr. Elizabeth Meade, the college president, and Dr. Robert A. Wilson, the provost and vice president for academic affairs. The renovation project is funded by a donation from the estate of alumna Elaine Oberkotter Harmon and her husband, John. The center aims to equip students with technology skills while fostering leadership, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making. It will also collaborate with Lehigh Valley businesses and organizations on technology strategies. The center has recently introduced new undergraduate majors in Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Computer Science, along with Applied AI integration, which began in Fall 2025.
