Pennsylvania American Water Issues Boil Water Advisory After Scranton Water Main Break

This incident follows another major water main rupture in the same area less than a week prior, raising concerns about the reliability of the local infrastructure. The break caused a loss of positive water pressure, which can allow contaminants to enter the water system, increasing the risk of disease-causing organisms. The advisory will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms the system is safe. Repair work on the damaged main began on Monday afternoon.
