Trump Administration Secures Deal to Keep D.C. Municipal Golf Courses Open
The Trump administration, in collaboration with the National Links Trust, has reached an agreement to keep Washington, D.C.'s three municipal golf courses open. This development follows the termination of a 50-year lease agreement by the administration at the end of 2025, which had put the future of these courses in jeopardy. The National Links Trust, a nonprofit organization responsible for managing these courses, will continue to oversee them under new long-term leases for Langston and Rock Creek. Additionally, President Trump and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum will oversee a redesign of East Potomac. The original renovation plans for Rock Creek will resume, ensuring that all three courses remain accessible and affordable for the community.
