Mary's Center Receives Grant to Enhance Remote Patient Monitoring for Underserved Communities
Mary's Center, a community health center in the Washington, DC metro area, has been awarded the 2026 Dr. Cesar A. Caceres Innovation in Healthcare award by the Medical Society of the District of Columbia’s (MSDC) Healthy Physician Foundation. The award includes a $250,000 grant aimed at implementing remote patient monitoring technology. This initiative is designed to help patients who face barriers to care by allowing them to securely share health information from home with their care teams. The technology will support patients managing chronic medical, behavioral health, or maternal health needs, and aims to integrate with electronic health records to enhance care coordination. The center serves over 65,000 people and focuses on reducing healthcare barriers through telehealth and in-home visits.
