American Highschoolers Aid Israeli Farmers Amid Iran Conflict
A group of American high school seniors from New York, including 18-year-old Nadav, chose to remain in Israel during the ongoing conflict with Iran to assist local farmers. Despite the war's onset, which prompted many foreigners to leave, these students joined the agricultural nonprofit Hiburim B’Haklaut to support farmers affected by the conflict. The students were placed on a small farm in the Galilee, where they helped clear fields of weeds. The lack of manpower due to the war has been a significant issue, with many farm workers called into reserve duty, highlighting the critical need for volunteer assistance.
