NRNA Addresses Challenges and Opportunities for Nepali Students in the UK
The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is actively engaging with various stakeholders to address the challenges faced by Nepali students in the UK. During a program organized by NRNA UK in collaboration with the Nepali Embassy in London, President Dr. Hem Raj Sharma highlighted the need for pre-departure counseling and support systems for students. The association is working with the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) to provide career fairs and legal advice. A Student Welfare Committee has been established to further support students. Prof. Padam Simkhada from Chester University noted the significant economic contribution of international students to the UK, with Nepali students being a substantial part of this demographic.
