ACT Project Launches Survey to Enhance AMR Awareness Among Food Producers
The Action to support implementation of Codex AMR texts (ACT) project has released two survey templates aimed at increasing awareness of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) among food producers. These surveys, available in English and Spanish, target animal producers, veterinarians, plant producers, and technicians to assess their understanding of AMR issues. Developed by the ACT Regional Team in Latin America, with input from Bolivia's SENASAG and Colombia's ICA, the surveys have been successfully implemented in Bolivia and Colombia. The initiative seeks to guide communication strategies and training efforts to reduce antimicrobial use in food production, addressing AMR as a global health threat.
