Future Solar Plans Expansion Across Solar Value Chain in India
Future Solar, led by Founder and Managing Director Ravi Rao, is planning significant expansion across the solar value chain in India. The company has already achieved a manufacturing scale of 5 GW in solar modules and is now focusing on backward integration to include cells, wafers, ingots, and eventually polysilicon. Future Solar aims to establish a 5 GW manufacturing capability across the entire value chain, with plans to commission a 2 GW cell plant by 2026 and an additional 3 GW cell plant soon after. The company is committed to reducing dependency on imports and building a self-reliant ecosystem. Future Solar's state-of-the-art facility in Vadodara is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by experienced professionals, ensuring high-quality production. The company is also exploring contributions to battery energy storage systems as part of India's ambitious renewable energy targets.
