Montoursville High School's Ag Day Highlights Diverse Aspects of Agriculture
Montoursville Area High School recently hosted an Ag Day event, organized by the school's Future Farmers of America (FFA) group. The event aimed to educate students and the community about the diverse aspects of agriculture beyond traditional farming. Students set up individual stations showcasing projects or hobbies related to agriculture, such as animal care, engine mechanics, and plant cultivation. The event featured a variety of displays, including chickens, ducks, and plants, as well as outdoor vendors like a local lavender farm and a farm equipment sales group. The event emphasized the importance of understanding where food comes from and the role of agribusiness, which involves a significant portion of the American workforce.
