Rice University Expands Free Tuition Program for Families Earning Up to $200,000
Rice University in Houston, Texas, has announced an expansion of its Rice Investment financial aid program, which will now offer free tuition to students from families earning up to $200,000 annually. This initiative, starting in Fall 2027, aims to make higher education more accessible to middle-income families who may have previously considered private university education financially out of reach. The program will continue to cover tuition, mandatory fees, room, and board for families earning less than $100,000, while meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need without requiring student loans.
