North Dakota is celebrating its annual sunflower season, a period when the state's landscape is transformed by vibrant sunflower fields. North Dakota, a leading sunflower producer in the U.S., harvested over 1 billion pounds of sunflowers from more than 500,000 acres in 2025. The 2026 Sunflower Map, featuring 28 fields, helps visitors locate peak bloom areas and nearby attractions. The state is also offering complimentary sunflower seed samples at select locations to enhance the visitor experience.
