Idaho Women File Lawsuit Against Anti-Abortion Website for Defamation
Three women from Idaho, who previously sought abortions due to fatal fetal diagnoses, have filed a lawsuit against the anti-abortion website Live Action News. The lawsuit, supported by the abortion-rights legal group Amplify Legal, claims that the website published false and defamatory articles about them. The articles in question suggested that the women's pregnancies were not dangerous and that their decisions to seek abortions were unnecessary. The women, Jennifer Adkins, Kayla Smith, and Jilliane St.Michel, had earlier challenged Idaho's abortion ban, seeking exemptions for cases involving fatal fetal diagnoses. The lawsuit demands that Live Action retract the statements and cease publishing similar content.
