Severe Storms to Hit Central US with Tornadoes and Hail
A severe storm outbreak is set to impact the central United States on Friday, following a week of intense weather including tornadoes, hail, and flooding. The central US has already experienced nearly four dozen tornadoes and over 350 hail reports, with some hailstones as large as softballs. The upcoming storms are expected to bring more tornadoes, potentially EF3 or stronger, along with destructive winds and large hail. The greatest threat is centered in western Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, eastern Iowa, and northwest Illinois. The storms will stretch from northern Texas to northern Wisconsin, with a Level 3 of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms in several major cities.
